I Left Medical School for Code. I’d Do It Again.
I’m Oğuz, a computer engineer from Marmara University. I can take an application from first commit to production: write the backend in Rust or Go, build the mobile app, set up the servers and automate the deployment. I’ve also steered a robotic gimbal over ROS2 and collected data from IoT devices. C, C++ and Python are where I feel most at home.
From Medicine to Code
I was a medical student when I wrote my first lines of code, during the Covid‑19 period. It started as a hobby and quickly became the thing I wanted to do all day. In my fourth year of medicine I switched to computer engineering, and in 2026 I graduated from Marmara University. I haven’t regretted it once.
